The benefits of Hygi Panel®’s ceiling tiles are two-fold. Firstly, they are particularly resistant to moisture; this is vital in an abattoir where it is imperative to reduce the risk of contamination, particularly from mould. In addition, they can easily be glued onto an existing and non-brittle surface such as concrete.
Unlike plaster which crumbles, paint which peels and other materials which show signs of wear over time, Hygi Panel®’s wall panels have very low porosity. Made from polyester resin and woven fibreglass, they are also resistant to corrosion caused by the enzymes and biological compounds in blood, which is commonly found in abattoirs.
In meat processing facilities in which slicing and chopping are regularly carried out, bacteria can quickly build up and become lodged in any gaps, including joints. Using Hygi Panel®’s wall panels avoids this issue because the panels, available in lengths of 200 to 600 cm, are installed without joints.
